Manchester United have announced an operating profit for the first quarter of 2026, with Chief Executive Officer Omar Berrada praising “robust financial results.”
United, who amid poor performances on the pitch still recorded revenues of £666.5 million ($909m) for last season but reported a loss of £33m for the financial year, achieved total revenues of £140.3m for Q1 of 2026.
Operating profit, meanwhile, was £13m, compared to an operating loss of £7m to this time last year.
“The club continues to see the impact of operating cost and headcount reduction programs implemented during the previous year,” the statement read.
Berrada added: “These robust financial results reflect the resilience of Manchester United as we make strong progress in our transformation of the club.
“The difficult decisions we have made in the past year have resulted in a sustainably lower cost base and a more streamlined, effective organisation equipped to drive the club towards improved sporting and commercial performance over the long-term.
“That has helped us to invest in our men’s and women’s teams, sitting in sixth and third places in the Premier League and Women’s Super League respectively.”
